Each year more and more students decide to take up law as a profession. Law used to be a profession for the specific few but the addition of interesting fields like cyber law etc has made it the desired profession for many. National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University (NALSAR) – Hyderabad:

Ranked No.1 by India Today - Nielsen Survey, 2013, National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University (NALSAR) is a top name among law aspirants in India. The university’s five-year integrated B.A LL.B.(Hons.) is a prestigious course known to have produced many great lawyers. National Law School of India University (NLSIU) – Bangalore:

Founded in 1987 it was the first Indian National Law University. It regularly features at the peak of lists of top law colleges in India in surveys conducted by several major publications. Their law education is coupled by some student activities to prepare them for the practical life. Activities like competitive debating and moot courts are held. There is a Student Bar Association which controls most of the student activities.

Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi – Delhi

Suggested as the best college in the country providing a three year LLB course, Campus Law Centre is one of the oldest and most prestigious among law colleges in India. The college has an extensive list of alumni including high profile people like Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts, Union and State Government Ministers, civil servants, and many of the country’s top lawyers.

The W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) – Kolkata

Among the top law colleges in India based on the five year law degree model. The W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) is one of the best. The college is renowned for hosting social events for the welfare of the citiens like Legal Aid Clinic and Counseling, Human Rights and Public Education, Youth for Social Justice, Law Enforcement Assistance etc. The W.B. National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) has won many moot competitions across the world and usually helps our country feel proud. They have won the Willem C. CAT Entrance and IIMs in India

Today I will post some information about most important entrance test for MBA admission - CAT and MAT CAT stands for Common aptitude test and It is jointly conducted by All IIMs in India and also followed by other popular MBA institutes in India.

After clearing this test an applicant have to also clear group discussion test and interview round for securing his admission in MBA. Cat test just an eligibility criteria for enrolling student for MBA programs in IIMs The eligibility for cat is that the candidate must have a graduation degree with at-least 50% marks for general category and 45% for SC and ST category applicants. There is no restriction on age limit for CAT exam registration. The fees for CAT exam is Rs.1600 for general/OBC category student and 800 For SC/ST student. It held two times in a year. Now cat is computer based test (CBT). There will be two separately timed sections in the test. The sections are (a) Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation (b) Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning. And there will be 30 question in each section. You will be given +3 points for each correct answer and -1 point for each incorrect answer.

There will be no points for questions that are not answered. This scoring methodology ensures that candidates are only awarded points for what they know. After announcing the result of CAT list of short listed applicants for the GD round and interviews available on individual IIMs site.

Currently there are 13 IIMs :-
They are :

IIMA (Ahmedabad):-  Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad was established in 1961 and have the top ranking in MBA Institutes in India and collaborated with Howard business School in starting.

IIMB (Bangalore) :-Indian Institute of Management Bangalore was established in 1973, and have 2nd one in IIMs in India. And also tie up with the business industry and leading business schools of the country.

IIMC (Calcutta ):- The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC) was established in 1961 with the collaboration of A P Slaon, Government of  West Bangal and Ford Foundation. Quality education and highly accommodation infrastructure is its specialty.

IIM Indore :- Indian Institute of Management Indore established in 1996, It is thee sixth in the prestigious IIM. The motive behind the IIM at Indore is to flow of quality management education in Central India.

IIM Kashipur :-The Indian Institute of Management Kashipur inception in July 2011 under the mentor-ship of IIM Lucknow. It is in the list of new IIMS started by The Indian Government .

IIM Kozhikode :- Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) is Started in 1997 with a batch of 42 students in its Postgraduate Programme. And It is also the fastest Growing Institute in the country.  of the program high, as the Institute continued to maintain its sound placement record, ranking among the top few institutes in the country.

IIML (Lucknow) :- , Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow (IIML) established in 1984 and got popularity among IIMs at that time.

IIM Raipur :- Indian Institute of Management Raipur (IIM) established in 2010 with the help of Indian Government and HRD Ministry with the purpose of providing quality management courses at Rural area of Chhattisgarh.

IIMR (Ranchi) :- The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi was established at Ranchi in 2010. IIM Ranchi now provide a wide range of courses for business industry to providing quality manpower to business Industry.

IIM Rohtak:- Indian Institute of Management Rohtak  is also  one of the new IIMS.
IIM Shillong:- Indian Institute of Management Shillong  has been set up with a review meeting held at Shillong during June 2004.

IIM Tiruchirappalli :- The eleventh IIM, Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli was established on January 4, 2011 with the help of Indian Government and HRD Ministry.

IIMU (Udaipur) :- The Indian Institutes of Management Udaipur The Indian Institutes of Management, Udaipur was established in 2009 with the starting of New IIMs in India.
